How much does Prom Center Event Facility cost to rent?

Nothing, as long as food and beverage minimums are met. Food and beverage minimums are the price of food and beverage before tax, before service charge, and excluding equipment rental and miscellaneous charges. If the food and beverage minimum is not met, the difference will be applied to the final invoice as room rental charge.

Can I use another caterer or bring my own food?

No. Only Prom Catering can provide food or beverages services at Prom Center Event Facility.

What if I don’t want any food or beverage, can I just rent the building?

You may rent the facility without ordering food or beverage.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes, all events require a signed contract and a deposit. The deposit and minimum amount depends on the date and size of your event. The deposit will be applied to your final invoice.

How can I pay for my event?

We accept cash, check, and Visa/MasterCard/Discover for social events. Corporate clients will be direct billed with prior approval.

Where can my guests park?

Prom Center Event Facility has 350 parking spaces reserved for our guests; large events may want to explore overflow-parking procedures with an event planner.

Who will help plan my event?

Many people will help you plan your event! First, your event designer will be your contact from start to finish. Your event designer will discuss and help you choose the right menu and assist with seating arrangements, decorations, and the timing of events. He or she may also refer you to several vendors who have shown success in the past for decorations, audio/video needs, and entertainment. Our chefs, including Joe Nagel "2001 Chef of the Year" by the American Culinary Federation, offer taste testing on larger events to help with your menu choices. Lastly, each function will have a banquet manager and/or charge wait staff to assist you during the day of your big event. Learn more about our staff.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellation of contracted services will be subject to loss of deposit equaling a percentage of the estimated final invoice. The percentage is based on the time difference between notification of cancellation and the actual event date.

What additional charges may appear on my final invoice?

A labor charge designed to cover all labor related costs, equipment rental fees, and all applicable state and local sales tax. Notice: most non-profit 501(C)(3) organizations, while exempt from federal income taxes, are still subject to state sales tax on prepared meals.

Do you offer complimentary taste testing?

Yes, we offer one complimentary taste testing for most upcoming events. Please initiate your request for a tasting with your event designer.

What days of the week is Prom Center Event Facility open?

Prom Center Event Facility in Oakdale, Minnesota is available for rental 7 days/week, 365 days/year. Certain holidays may be subject to double service charges, ask your event planner for details.

Do you have a liquor license?

Yes, we have a liquor license that will enable our guests to enjoy full bar service. We can provide either a hosted bar or a cash bar for your event.

Do you have décor?

Please see your event designer with any questions you have regarding décor for your event. You may also utilize our vendors link. These are provided as suggestions only; we encourage you to select vendors that best suit your personal style and taste.

Do you provide rentals?

We provide complimentary table linens, colored napkins, hand pinned taffeta and skirting for the head table, cake table, and gift table, 8′ x 12′ staging, podium and microphone, and full service china.
We also include a parquet dance floor, centerpiece mirrors and votive candles at no additional charge.

Can we arrive early to set up for our event?

Please speak to your Event Designer for information regarding load in and load out for your event.

Are gratuities included in the cost of my event?

Any tips and gratuities are at the sole discretion of the client.

Do you have service staff and bartenders for our event?

Prom employs service staff and bartenders for your event.

Do you charge a cake cutting fee?

No, Prom does not charge a fee for cutting and serving your wedding cake – it is our pleasure to provide this service for you.
